I actually have a tough time sometimes with this, I also have a Goldilocks issue with vitamin c serums too because ascorbic acid depending on percentage and formulation irritates my skin. I think I went through everyone version of vitamin c the Ordinary had and could only use three of them 🥲
Ahhh have you tried alternative types of vitamin c? L-ascorbic acid is the most effective but also the harshest and degrades the most quickly. It’s why I use a magnesium ascorbyl phosphate liposome instead for my water based serums - it’s stable, gentle and comes encapsulated
Love this breakdown! Much like retinol having to educate sometimes less is better can be tough but this is why the science communication matters
Thank you so much! Appreciate your kind comment here especially given your comprehensive background.

Yep! SAP, MAP, ascorbyl Glucoside, ethyl 3 O or THD are okay for me they don’t burn me
Have they been as effective for you as l-a-a?
Takes longer but any benefit of LAA being more efficient is lost because it makes me red
